About Me

I. Love. Mysteries.

Agatha Christie. Nick & Nora. Inspector Lewis. You name it.

But mysteries are in my blood.

The earliest story I remember writing is ‘The Mystery of the Golden Flower’ (or something like that) in elementary school. My mom devoured Agatha Christie books, and we spent every weekday afternoon when I was a teen watching reruns of Murder, She Wrote, Matlock, and Magnum, P.I., to name a few.

And I LOVED them.

I also loved action-adventure movies and Jane Austen and sci-fi, but my favorite things rarely made it onto the page. Until January 2009, when I started to write my first book.

I didn’t set out to write a mystery, but when it was all said and done, my sister told me, “You’re a mystery writer.” And I can’t ever win an argument with her.

So in November 2010, after the longest year and a half of my life, I released my first official mystery novel, Dead Locked. Late the following year, I released The Jester’s Apprentice, which is technically my first novel from way back in 2009! My first mystery novella, Biohazard, came out spring 2012.

Now I’m embarking on a completely new journey – a mystery series! I’m very excited about the characters and setting in The Belinda & Bennett Mysteries. It all came together so beautifully, and I hope everyone will have as much fun reading these books as I’m having writing them. Cliffhanger, book one in the series, is now available!

I have come a long way since that first book, getting my crash course in both novel-writing and self-publishing. But it’s awesome. It can be frustrating, I won’t lie, but it’s still gorgeous fun.
